HMB

HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate) is a natural compound that is produced by the human body in very small concentrations (it is also found in some fish and alfalfa). HMB is a metabolite of leucine involved in cholesterol synthesis, which has been shown to decrease the muscle membrane damage incurred after a strenuous workout. So, in a nutshell, HMB can help synthesise muscle directly after a workout, whilst helping to reduce body fat - jackpot!
